We recommend that if you are having trouble in your home with what you perceive to be spirits of one kind or another, that you not hesitate to contact someone in the paranormal investigations field. Of course, there are good ones and bad ones just like there are good carpenters and bad carpenters. But we believe you will find that most people in the field are sincere, provable by the fact that you will not be charged. If you are being asked to pay for these kinds of services, you should immediately look for someone else. Profit seriously undermines he credibility of a paranormal investigaton team - their only payment is the knowledge they will gather and the satisfaction of helping someone in need. Do not pay for paranormal assistance!

We heartily recommend both the Perry Hall Paranormal Research Society and Baltimore Paranormal Investigators. These are local to the Batimore area and Maryland in general, but both organizations have done investigations outside the area. Both organizations have the equipment and technical knowledge to offer a thorough investigation, and they are open to new techniques and current with the latest innovations. Additionally, both teams are experienced with all facets of paranormal activity. There are many other paranormal investigation groups who have achieved national attention and prominence. Most notably, TAPS - The Atlantic Paranormal Society, known from the SciFi Channel's Ghost Hunters. Under the intense scrutiny of the national audience, TAPS (and others) have proven themselves to be beyond reproach with a proven track record in the field. You should use them as a barometer when chosing a local team, and not hesitate to contact them or anyone in the TAPS Family if you need assistance.

FInally, MPG realizes that our recommendations would not be especially highly regarded in the scheme of things, but remember, if you need help, there should be somewhere you can turn. We recommend that when you do, you keep in mind that most of the time your experiences can be naturally explained and that your piece of mind is more important than anything else. Look for people and groups who feel that same way. Paranormal investigation is not about conjuring the dead or proving a haunt - it is about understanding... and coping.
